  We put in solar at the end of the period when the government was backing up providers by paying for part of the installation. Consequently, we only paid half of the roughly $40,000 cost. Still, it was quite an investment and we're happy to report that it was probably a good one. Our electric bill is never more than $10 per month and we've received some tiny paybacks (that's not a huge part of our relationship with the power company but it should be). Panels after 7 years look OK, as does the wiring and the converter box on our back yard wall. Therefore, we can say that the installation team did a good job and the materials are of satisfactory quality.
  Overall, High Noon did fine by us.
